Hot 93.3 HD Subchannels Added

On Friday or Saturday, Hot 93.3 added a couple of HD subchannels. The HD2 says “KLIF FM HD2 / Classic Rock” and the HD3 says “KLIF FM HD3 / Classic Hits”.

Both stations are running commercial-free without any imaging. With both stations, the songs completely fade out or end before a new one starts. There are also long periods of dead air. The formats don’t seem to contain any 90’s music, but there are some newer Christmas songs being mixed in on the HD3.

I’m not quite sure if these are placeholders, tests for a new Classic Rock or Classic Hits format on 93.3 or if they’re being leased by another company. Who knows?!
