This has got to be one of the most idiotic flips ever. WNEW is wallowing, and they flip the #8 station to Jack (which WPLJ sounds like). Ah well - should have seen it comming when McCoy was gone and a rock programmer was brought in.

While CBS-FM may be gone from 101.1 in NYC, it lives at this address (IP address)

Gone from 101.1

But even the Rock Programmer got nuked with the Oldies. He didn't have a hand in this.

While that might be fine for people your age who happen to like their parents' music, I doubt many in the oldies demo will listen. I'm in my early 50s and I rarely if ever bother with streamed "radio", nor do much of anyone else my age that I know of. Steams sound wretched and who wants to sit in front of the computer to listen to the "radio"?

Somehow I don't see folks taking their laptop to the beach to listebn to the summer sounds.

Okay I'm confused this doesn't sound like the same CBS-FM that I heard earlier on the www.wcbsfm.com website. This one is much better. Is someone just having fun or is this legit?

This is what CBS-FM sounded like. The jingles are from Goldmine, Custom 3, '89 PAMS Resings and the Do It Again package.

As far as if its legit, I havent gotten a C&D from Infinity Broadcasting. Its my way of keeping CBS-FM (the sound of it atleast) alive in cyberspace and on a part 15 tx @ 100.9.<P ID="signature">______________

Well, it's great! Much better than they were doing. Keep it up!

I'm glad to see people with such passion for good radio.
