Lamb is in talks to go to a top 10 DMA TV market according to the release.
Bill Lamb, the president and general manager of WDRB News, is leaving the Louisville TV station.
In a Tuesday email to a WDRB editorial advisory board that was obtained by the Courier Journal, Lamb wrote he is leaving the local Fox affiliate on July 5 and heading to an unnamed station in a "top 10 market."
"Decisions like these are always difficult, but I have been made an offer to run a television station in a top 10 market and I couldn't turn down the challenge," Lamb wrote. "WDRB has never been stronger and I think I am leaving it with a brilliant future."
