Fox 29′s new sports anchor is a Temple grad and former mascot

Breland Moore will report and anchor sports coverage for the 5, 6, 10, and 11 p.m. newscasts starting May 24.

Fox 29 has named a replacement for sports anchor Kristen Rodgers, who left the station last month, and the new anchor is no stranger to Philadelphia.

Breland Moore, a Temple graduate, will report and anchor sports coverage for the 5, 6, 10, and 11 p.m. newscasts beginning May 24, according the station. She’ll also host Sports Sunday as well as anchor the station’s Eagles pregame show during football season. When she was studying at Temple, Moore was also one of the performers inside the school mascot Hooter the Owl.
