Entertainment reporter Sam Rubin for KTLA has passed away

Saw it on KTLA today he was 64 years old. Not sure what the cause of his death was. Sam Rubin joined KTLA in 1991 as part of the morning news team. Rip Sam you will be missed.
RIP, Sam, a HUGE part of what made KTLA's Morning Show great. He also was a part of sister SoCal Tribune/Nexstar station KSWB's (FOX San Diego) morning team doing entertainment stuff for them doing it for a decade backstage in the newsroom when he had a break from KTLA.

Here is Nexstar's statement on the death of Sam Rubin.

In this obit Sam Rubin is known to appear on Nine News Australia besides KTLA and the Nexstar owned stations that air his segments.

In addition to his work from KTLA, Rubin made appearances on BBC television and radio in the United Kingdom as well as served as contributor to Triple M radio and Channel 9 television network in Australia.

Rubin’s accolades include receiving multiple Emmy awards, a Golden Mike Award for best entertainment reporter and a lifetime achievement award from the Southern California Broadcasters Association as well as being named best entertainment reporter by the Los Angeles Press Club.

Here are more specials where KTLA got some of the original members of the KTLA morning news to talk about how Sam Rubin is a part of the Stations history and start of where the station went in the past 33 years.

Here are the hosts in Australia and UK also mourning Sam Rubin's death. Yes even on days when Sam had the day off from Nexstar and KTLA he would visit Australia and UK and talk about Hollywood from their studios directly not just doing the entertainment segments from KTLA's newsroom.
