Disclaimer on Kiss 95.7 WKSS

Was doing a band scan tonight and came across Kiss 95.7 WKSS. Right before they resumed playing music after a commercial I heard a disclaimer that I never heard on a music station before. "A portion of this program was previously recorded." - Is this some kind of new FCC rule? Is it an i-Heart Radio thing? The program was a special i-Heart Radio Prom.

My guess would be that the program included some “live” performances that weren’t really being aired live.

In the Salem and KRLA case, it was airing a replay of a talk show that included “live” call in segments and even gave the call in number while not airing any indication that it was a replay.

The FCC has never applied the rule to voicetracking, and jock banter is largely insignificant. I suspect one of the stations where I once worked could have run afoul of the rule if anybody had complained. It aired several talk programs on tape delay and never aired any sort of disclaimer.
