Very nice profile article on what has become of former WBAP morning/afternoon personality Dick Siegel:

Hal and Dick were certainly the glory days of WBAP's morning program. My guess is once Hal's contract expires Cumulus will do to him what they did to Mark Davis - and perhaps the whole program will be replaced with a centralized newscast from Atlanta with periodic breaks for updates from a low-paid local person.

I grew up listening to Hal and Dick when I was a kid, back when WBAP was a 50k blowtorch of the southwest. Its great he's staying active in retirement!!

Great article ! Thanks for posting. I remember hearing Siegel on KLIF before WBAP. Was fun that they included KLIF in the story. Like his comment at the end about buying BAP & returning it to Country. I start each day with 820 as it is. But, it was an outstanding full service Country station for a long time. Bet it could be again.
