Personally, I think Mr. Roth is freaking perfect for mid-80's music radio!

... but for '06 Talk?

eh... there's some potential...

... but potential is what gets you the midnight shift on Saturday's in Market # 20. Why they did this to, what? 12 markets? Including at least #1 and #5?
______________

I wonder how long his contract is?Infinity is continuing to make programming errors. It's like an avalanche of bad choices.

It's all about burning cume. Nothing they put on after Howard is going to work. It's like the show that replaced Senfield. It just doesn't matter. It is a no lose situation: If DLR bombs, well they got some media play out of it just because it is DLR (which they wouldn't have gotten with a no-name) and if he turns out to be a hit, well they all look like radio brainiacs.

No, but I don't live in a DLR market. Sure, I would have sampled it.

I listened for about 5 -10 minutes today, he was saying something about how his life is like he is still in school, (x-mas vacations and all).
From what little I heard, he didn't deliver the "Thunder-Bolt In My Cheerios" as he promised in his promos that ran earlier (LOL). But I will give a listen again, you never know it might get better with time.

I heard the part with his Uncle. The situation reminds me when Conan O'Brien replaced David Letterman on Late Night. Many didn't give Conan a chance, now he is slated to replace Leno in a couple of years.

You can hear Roth online at FREE FMs that carry his show. Plus, I believe Roth said you can listen online from his own Web site.

That is true, however people like RadioKnob don't have to listen to know it's crap. I mean, like so many around here, people like that know radio so well that they can know what will work and what won't by checking the way the non-dairy creamer makes little clouds in their decaf...

... that's why they can comment on something that they've never heard...
______________

Train wreck doesn't come close to describing it.

I never thought that I would say it but I kind of miss Stern's constant belching, farting and whining over Roth's show.
