What was Elton John doing on the CMA'S singing with Dolly Parton??? Yikes Looks like the rockers are trying to jump on the country format bandwagon

I guess they figured that he is from England, which is, after all, a "country." Does anyone actually care about Elton anymore? His heyday was more than 30 years ago and even then, his stuff sounded like what it is, lame pop rock aimed at people who don't like rock. But you do have to give him credit for riding that wave for this many years and I'm sure that more people now know him as "Elton John, professional celebrity" than as a recording artist: with the death of oldies stations, does anyone play his music other than perhaps KYXY?

To Elton I would say:
"Your candle burned out long before
Your legend ever did"
