I been just doing radio research and discovered that every clear channel website is not available and this includes attempts to go to sites for stations nationwide. I've known of whole clusters of a market doing maintenance but maintenace of nearly a 1000 sites at one time.

The servers for all the sites are in one location in San Antonio..or at
least were a few years back. Occassional upgrades would force all the sites
down briefly.

It's a scheduled maintenance, although it happened late. A mass e-mail went out to all CC webmasters on Wednesday saying that the system would be down at midnight Thursday. But apparently it didn't happen until the weekend.
