CBGB, the iconic New York City venue best associated with The Ramones, The Talking Heads and Blondie, will re-open as a restaurant in the Newark Airport.
Grub Street reports the menu will feature “American fare in a fun environment recalling the legendary music venue.”
What does that include? According to
Gothamist, $9 deviled eggs, an $11.50 wedge salad, and a $14 cheeseburger.
Gothamist also reports that CBGB trademarks have been assigned to a holding company, which may account for this most inappropriate appropriation.
