BY ALL accounts, the October 2005 Overture Center concert by legendary jazz tenor saxophonist Sonny Rollins was one for the ages.

Now a lengthy WORT-FM radio interview with Rollins, conducted by Madisonians Steve Braunginn and Jane Reynolds in advance of that Madison show, will live on, too.

The Rollins interview is the cover story of the just-published spring issue (dated Volume 7, Number 2) of Jazz Improv, a comprehensive quarterly devoted to improvisational jazz.

Braunginn, the former head of the Madison Urban League, and Reynolds, a well-known jazz pianist, host a jazz show Thursday afternoons on WORT-FM. ...
