Bustos Media flips 92.5 FM K223CI as 92.5 Urbana

Bustos has been perfecting the Urbana format on a Seattle HD2 outlet for some time. I am not sure the target demos listen to traditional radio though. Way too much to pay for a translator; the signal is now anchored as KZLZ's HD2. If you want a listen the audio is at laradiodetucson.com .

Wow - that was fast! Bustos Media added Urbana 92.5 FM to their "La Rola" Android application as the first Tucson station. (Since the app targets Spanish speakers there was no point to listing other Tucson outlets ) One wonders if Bustos' other Tucson properties will make a language flip at some point : 1030 AM or 106.3 FM... He already has some plug-and-play formats: La Pantera, LaGranD, Máquina, La Zeta.

As an aside, Urbana 92.5 sounds more like a street-wise version of what appears on KOFH in Nogales : "Maxima 99 Uno"

It appears that in no market of any size does any Bustos station have high ratings. Does anyone know of a Bustos station that does show up well?

It looks like Bustos' "Urbana" format is now making the rounds. He just launched the format on his former Russian-language brokered AM in Portland, Oregon., 1010 KOOR (COL Milwaukee OR).

Bustos' Urbana format has expanded again - this time on KXXP FM 104.5 , a Portland, Oregon rimshotter up the Columbia River Gorge licensed to White Salmon, Washington.
