Bruce Jacobs In Hot Water Yet Again

Jacobs was trashing the Mercury's "alternative lifestyle" fanbase going back to their first season in 1997.

You can't blame Jacobs completely - as unapologetically crude as he almost always is. Jerry Colangelo didn't exactly discourage this connection when he owned the team. The WNBA's LA Sparks actively marketed to them several years ago. The Mercury gets involved in that community today.

Bruce Jacobs surprised me by his ability to move from SportsTalk to mornings on conservative Talk KFYI. He didn't have the "voice" for it, initially. But he grew into it and he had everybody listening. Maybe everybody wasn't agreeing with the things he said -- but he made it work.

Bruce should never say that there are lesbians on the womens basketball teams. Such a shocking thing to intimate! Using the slang terms was not politically correct, anyway. Where are the speech police?

Anyone hurt by his remarks should turn off their radio, seek psychological help for the trauma caused, wear a helmet while walking/driving and "lawyer up". Certainly there is a group ready to occupy WTMM!
