Hello,

I am currently looking for a radio broadcast engineer for our radio station which will be on air March 30th. During my online research I have found that, especially in the Midland area, it seems almost impossible to find broadcast engineers in our surrounding area.

Now, I was wondering if you may happen to know anybody/have any contacts or contact ideas for radio broadcast engineers in South Dakota, Iowa and /or Nebraska?

I would really appreciate your help. Thank you in advance,

HCbit

Check with your local SBE organization. http://www.sbe.org/ Also, if you're going to put something in a magizine, try Radio World and Radio Guide. Also, you might want to see if you can list it at www.theBDR.net . Also, don't forget your state broadcasters' association. That's how I found my job actually. I was at a station I saw headed downhill that I had been at for over a decade wondering how long it would be before the whole place fell down around me. Then I looked at my state broadcasters' association website and saw my current job posted there. Good luck!

I second everything OKCRadioGuy said and have another suggestion. You didnt get to under 90 days before throwing the switch without some type of engineering/technical assistance (I HOPE), probably a consulting engineering firm. These guys network with engineers all over and might be able to suggest some names.

And just by dropping your post here you have taken a good step towards reaching a large pool of talented engineers who may help. Good luck.
