Bobby O'Jay posthumously nominated for Radio Hall of Fame

So glad to hear this. Too bad it didn't happen when he was with us. A career worthy of it. He would join station mgr. and midday host, Bev Johnson, who's in the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame, though , if he gets inducted.

On a down note, iHeart cut afternoon host Earle Augustus, as part of the latest round of layoffs. It's been a bad year for WDIA. And what bad timing, on the heels of Bobby O'Jay's death, leaving Bev as the only remaining jock. I hope replacements will be hired, but sadly, not counting on it happening.
