> Is B 97 (97.1) (WEZB) in New Orleans gone?

Even though its off the air, it is expected to return soon, but no timetable has been set yet.

Station is on simmulcasting with WWL and the rest of the United Radio Broadcasters Of New Orleans stations apparently. I was bored yesterday so I decided to browse satellite photos and it looked like most of the towers in WEZB's area suffered little or no damage and were just standing there high and dry like nothing happened. It will probably depend on how badly damaged the studio is and how long it will take to repair it.<P ID="signature">______________

Bingo! We have a winner. I'm sure much of the staff also isn't back in the N.O. area yet as well.

Yeah, thats what I am thinking. That, and some staff, undoubtedly may have perished in the storm. Under any account, I dont think anyone should be rushing the staff of any N.O radio station, to get back to work, just yet. There are no advertisers, no listeners, Besides that, at least N.O still has Dance Music, simulcasted from Diva 103 in Baton Rouge.
