could just buy a 200 watt Daytimer above 1500 Khz.
That gets about the same range as a Part 15 AM LOL!
I love AM too but hell, its a very noisy band.
Some people will still listen considering the format. But if Part 15 FM could
be as good as Part 15 AM I could guarantee you that everyone
would move to FM if they could.
Ummm, I wouldn't. I think music sounds kind of "funny" on FM.
I'm not being obtuse, I really do prefer how music sounds on AM when it's done right.
I've had FM oscillators, ( C Crane unit died ) and they sound OK, but the music doesn't breathe and live like a
densely modulated AM, and can never thunder or thud like 150% asymmetric modulation does .
AM Does sound really good when done right I will give you that. I love the way The music Sounded on AM.

Did anyone else notice what the proposed addition to Part 15.3 states?
The proposed addition is:
§ 15.3 Definitions.
* * * * *
(hh) Wireless Audio Device. An intentional radiator that is used to transmit voice, music or other audio
material over a short distance. Transmissions may be either analog or digital. Data transmissions are not
permitted except for short strings such as recognition codes necessary to ensure the functionality of a
system. Transmission of audio material to the public switched telephone network and private and
commercial wireless systems and networks is not permitted.
My question is- If analog or digital transmissions are permitted, how can data transmissions not be permitted? Wouldn't a digital transmission be a long, continuous string of data?
I'm sorry I missed the NPRM comment period for this...I can't wait until these new rules are in effect. And, then I'll kiss all the long-ground-radiator bullsh*t goodbye!
