1070 WNCT and HD

So 1070 is going to be doing some HD-only (no analog carrier) tests, it appears. Not sure that I understand the reasoning behind this one. The fact that you got a loyal audience listening to AM in 2013 is amazing... running them off by randomly cutting the analog carrier certainly isn't the way to keep the audience in place. Neither is leaving that crap on when the test is over with.
 
To make matters worse, HD doesn't carry as far as analog broadcasting and may even sabotage quality control! It's time to rescind this standard; PRONTO!!! I've sent a message to the station and advise others to do likewise. Among my suggestions included utilizing a quality, ANALOG transmission standard!

The HD test took place 3 weeks ago on and off for 3 days and unless NAB wants to do it again its over..

Yesterday it was still on the website.

Glad it's over now. Hope the HD equipment has been ripped out of the rack and tossed in the dumpster.
