For those that knew Doug, He passed away last week in Birmingham. For many years he was the guy in the background of Y-100

Sorry to hear that, I’m shaken by the news. It’s a bit like losing a brother. Doug and I worked at WAXY-FM in 1973 and at WFTL in 1974. He was always fun to be around.

I worked with Doug at Y-100 / WHTT and again at KTNQ/KLVE and am equally saddened by the news. Doug, apparently, had been the DoE of the iHeart cluster in New Orleans.
 
I met Doug at the old 1320-WGMA in the late 70s. Many years later our paths crossed again when he did our Original Audio Vault install in Atlanta back in 2004 or 2005. Very sorry to hear of his passing.
