Longtime television weatherman James Quiñones — known as “Jimmy Q” to his viewers and fans on Channel 12 (KPNX) — has left the station.

“He moved on to other opportunities,” George Davilas, news director for the station, said.

Quiñones’ last day on the air was June 7.

Quiñones has not updated his social media accounts to indicate what might be next.

Reached on Facebook Messenger, he said, “I am no longer with 12 News. You know what they say. The only thing that’s consistent in this world is change.”

Tegna has annoced that Quinones has left KPNX-TV.
