WMOB and new FM translator

passtheword

Star Participant
Daymn. Has any FM ever broadcast from the middle of Mobile Bay?
Even if they own everything, wouldn’t it be cheaper an make more sense to use a Spanish Fort or Prichard tower currently hosting translators?

The proposed site is on one of the WMOB towers. Because of the bankruptcy. Iheart is a new entity, which means the CP was was under a previous company in the auction. Because of the rules, WMOB won the permit on default.

This will require a partial proof on the AM directional array for WMOB-AM. I never liked adding anything to a tower that is part of an AM directional array due to all the additional proofing and paperwork.
