Haven't people been saying the same thing ever since Elvis... or even earlier? After all, wasn't Jazz in the 1920s supposed to be the Devil's music? Now it is a cherished form of American art and culture.

I do agree that a lot of modern pop music burns your ears, but not because of sexual/vulgar lyrics -- rather because of talentless Auto-Tuned vocals, the Millennial whoop, vapid one-chord melodies, and Loudness War-ruined audio quality.

And Christian pop music is imitating all of this. They just add more reverb to the vocals to make it sound like they're singing in church.

I don't know if the rock jocks brought back to reminisce earlier in the day were allowed to spin a bit of classic rock from the old PLJ or not.

From the "PLJ Sold" thread, playlist of the last hours of WPLJ's Hot AC format on Friday 5/31/2019:

    ***** ***** *****

On Thursday 5/30/2019 ("Reunion Day"), there were a few "wild cards" thrown in, such as during the 2 PM hour when the former "New York's Best Rock" jocks visited.
Led Zeppelin's "Stairway To Heaven" made an appearance on Thursday evening.

On the previous weekend PLJ paid tribute to their musical history by featuring 3 songs per hour from each of the years of their existence (1971-2019).

THANK YOU. Now we're talking. If you can remember, or ascertain, specific songs aired on "Reunion Day", and particularly on the previous weekend, that would be very cool. The most interesting would probably be the songs played that were there between 1971-1979, and 1980-1990.

Something tells me this isn't the Sinatra song which I like.

You know this website means a lot to me and you dont have to be rude towards people like that ok. All i was saying is that id prefer if people dont argue over religion on this forum.

Nobody is being rude. The point is that you made your opinions on religion and religious radio clear. That’s cool, but it’s reasonable to conclude that others will do the same. The opinions of other may differ from yours.

When you tell someone that they should get off a website because they asked people not to argue about religion that is being rude.
