Is this a bad thing? The Virginia Beach shooting was not even on the front page of The Charlotte Observer. Have shootings like this become "normal"?

Good question! Radio talk show host Dennis Prager also puts out a weekly print column. He said on his radio show that he deals with this issue in this week's column, which can be seen at www.dennisprager.com . I haven't read it, but heard him talk about it today (Tuesday, June 4, 2019). He pointed out that there was only 1 mass shooting during the 1950s, and more every decade later. Mass shootings hit 42 in the 1990s, and it was revealed that they have sky-rocketed over the past 12 years. So, Dennis asks... overall, guns and their availability haven't changed, so what has?

yes, we have gotten to the point to where mass shootings have become a normal thing and that people have accepted that there's nothing that can be done about it as we have a cycle that repeats itself and politicans on both sides have turn it into a permamently unresolved issue where one side demands gun control laws be change and the other side prefer that this "isn't the time to work on the gun control issues" and chose to ignore the needed changes to gun control laws. the other side who won't do anything about it are also most likely have the NRA in their pockets too. plus, cable news channels are way too obsessed about President Trump to waste their time talking about mass shootings after the first 24 hours anymore anyway.
