Philadelphia 80s Radio War is on

I am not sure if anyone heard, but WOGL slogan since Jan 2018 is "Nobody Plays More 80s." Well, I have been listening to Ben FM and just this past weekend, they have just copied their slogan by saying the same thing, "Nobody Plays More 80s."
If you are going by sheer content, its not even close as Ben FM plays a MUCH wider range of 80s. Anything from RUN DMC to Motley Crue, Beastie Boys to Warrant, Debbie Gibson to Billy Ocean.
This kind of reminds of 1987 when Eagle 106 was the new station and they went after WCAU-FM Hot Hits. Hot Hits decided to flip to oldies to appeal to better demographic. Although, I believe Eagle 106 was beating them in the ratings.
I wonder if this is going to work for BEN. I am saying it probably won't, but if they shave off a point or two, that could help WMMR and WMGK. Any thoughts?

This is just for the weekend, part of their "80's 500". It was funny hearing them use the exact same slogan.

    Is B101's HD sub-channel still carry 80s?

    Yes it is.

And I find it funny that 96.5 the Point was just WAY ahead of it's time, and floundered in the ratings because of that.

I think all the point stations were too 80's rock focused, which hurt it here, and basically everywhere that it wasn't being used by a cox owned radio station.

I have to say I was disappointed with WOGL during my recent trip to King of Prussia. Six years ago, which was the last time I had been in KOP prior to last week I had enjoyed WOGL as an Oldies station.
