Larry King Radio Program (Mutual), 1/15/1987 (off KMWX-1460 Yakima)

My first aircheck (from the radio).
Here's about 50 minutes of the Larry King Radio Program, taped off KMWX-AM 1460 Yakima (now KUTI, ESPN Radio) on January 15th, 1987. This is my first audio-only clip, and was found on a VHS tape, piped in by the cable company after the PBS station (KYVE) signed off at 11:00PM. Definitely a nice thing for them to do, so viewers didn't hear TV static. Tonight, Larry takes calls on the Open Phone World about the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on his birthday, including an argument with a man about black vs. white. At the beginning is a montage of What the World Needs Now (Is Love), with clips of the assassination of JFK and RFK, and MLK Jr. The original commercials were also left in, both national and local (and a few PSAs), and there's a local news update and pass report at the bottom of the hour.
Soon I hope to have two KIXI airchecks digitized from cassettes, along with a half-hour of KIT-FM 94.5 (pre-KATS, when they were Beautiful Music) from the 1970s.
