Entertainment Studios Inc. to get 5 stations from Bayou City Broadcasting for $165M

That's some kind of asset appreciation. WEVV/WEEV were purchased by Bayou City for $27 million. KADN/KLAF were purchased for $40 million. DuJuan McCoy (the owner of Bayou City) is nearly tripling his purchase prices... pretty incredible.

Put another way, these four small-market TV stations were valued at one-third the purchase price of Cordillera by Scripps earlier this month. Cordillera operated dominant stations in a handful of markets, and had a handful of duopoly synergeis with Scripps.

I was thinking the same thing - I wonder if Byron Allen will mandate a double-run of Funny You Should Ask on all of these stations, if they don't have it already...more Jon Lovitz for all I guess!
