According to the article Gin was the assistant ND at KRON4 in San Francisco.

KITV (Honolulu) has named Janice Gin as the station’s new News Director starting early next year.

Gin comes to KITV from Nexstar’s KRON (San Francisco) where she has served as Assistant News Director for more than five years.

"I am so excited to be part of a local news team that understands the importance of community and is committed to good journalism”, said Gin.

“Janice’s experience and expertise will be a tremendous asset,” said Chief Operating Officer John Christianson.
