What will WNIC change after the Holiday?

Now that 987 The Breeze blew through the Motor City almost a month ago what do you think WNIC will do to compete with the Breeze after the Holidays?

Hard to say. Most likely they'll continue as before the holidays and assess what impact the 98.7 flip may have. Since WNIC does play more newer music than 98.7, there's some possibility it would benefit from former AMP users coming to it.

Good point ,now just a thought WNIC has an HD2 that is very similar to what The Breeze format is they call it Sunny Radio could there be a possibility the NIC main station become more like that playing more of the 70’s soft tunes.

You really never know how good the soft ac format will do and how it will affect the heritage ac station in the market. KOIT and KWRM on the west coast have been taken down a notch by their soft ac competitors. Keep in mind that while the soft ac may take over 6+ over the heritage ac, it really is all about women 25-54. Amazing that in Miami the soft ac Easy 931 was #1 18-34 in addition to being #1 overall.

WNIC should adjust their playlist only slightly after the ho ho hos end. Just add a few more 80s titles and see how it works out.
