The veteran radio programmer passed away on Friday in Seattle after battling cancer. Among the stations he worked at were Alternative-formatted KXTE-FM in Las Vegas, Triple A KZON-FM in Phoenix, Rock Alternative KZZO-FM in Sacramento in the late 1990s and early 2000s, and Jack-FM KJAQ-FM in Seattle in the early 2010s. Friends describe Trapp as “funny, incredibly intelligent, and had a great view of the world around him.” For several years, Trapp authored The Trapp Report, which was a seminal Alternative trade publication in the 1980s and 1990s.

I don't know how many people here worked with him, but this is pretty sad news.

Thanks for letting us know. I had not heard this, and worked with him briefly @ CBS/Seattle. Loved his outlook and attitude about radio in "current day" environment.
