Atlanta Has A Christmas Station

Well, kind of. You need an HD radio or a computer to hear it.

WSTR-HD2 has (at least temporarily) dropped its Classic Hits format to go all Christmas. I actually really enjoyed the station's 70's, 80's and 90's format.
 
Does anyone know why Cox won't stream WSB-FM-HD2? That sounds like an obvious place for a Christmas station, especially with WSB-FM's longstanding claim of being Atlanta's "home for the holidays"
 
I’ve noticed most of the Entercom AC stations flipped to Christmas the day after Halloween. WSPA blowtorches all the way south of Asheville onto 98.9 here in Atlanta now that the 99X translator is gone. There’s days where WSPA is very clear. Typically, I can always hear it with no interference. Amazing.

No, please don't ruin a good thing with Christmas creep crap. 98.5HD2 is an oasis from the commercialized cesspool this so-called "holiday" has become. 98.5HD2 is the best hidden secret. I have a Polk Audio iSonic HD radio (their answer to a Bose Wave Music System) in my office downtown and 98.5HD2 is a great stress reliever. Several of my co-workers have asked about how they can get one. "Is that a satellite radio?"

You might like www.ezpeach.org. A pretty faithful reproduction of WPCH during its BM/EZ era, although sometimes they go a little more towards (really) soft AC.

In speaking of EZ Peach Radio WAPH-DB, they flipped to Christmas music yesterday morning 11/22/2018 (Thanksgiving morning). Last year when they flipped to Christmas music in 2017, they kept it going all the way to New Year's.
 
Another Internet radio station that comes to my mind, SOF (Sounds Of Faith) Radio, they usually play Christmas music Thanksgiving-New Year's of every year as was the case when they used to be on WMSL in Athens, GA. Of course, SOF has been struggling since last Christmas in 2017. They didn't play any Christmas music at all last year in 2017. When WMSL got sold to RTN in February of this year in 2018, SOF was dead for 8 months. In October 2018, SOF got resurrected from the dead. Now here we are and this is the 2nd year in a row SOF is NOT playing Christmas music. Of course, this year in 2018 is understandable since SOF has been in the process of getting back on its feet. SOF went Internet only in 2012 when WMSL decided to go more contemporary with their regular time of the year Christian music. Website for SOF is http://www.soundsoffaith.net/. Anyway, that is all.

Hartsfield Jackson is listed an elevation of 1027 ft. * Radio-locator has WSAP 157 miles way from Atlanta** with a height above sea level of 3333 feet***. 157 miles with a 2306 ft “tower” is possible to achieve assuming there are no mountains in the way and the weather conditions are perfect. The co and adjacent channels stations would stop it normally in today’s crowded FM band. WSPA’s 40 Db is in theory ends between Gainesville and Toccoa****. There are DXer’s who know a lot more about distant signals who could explain better
