Chip and Joanna Gaines in Talks With Discovery for Linear Channel/Streaming Platform

Seems a bit strange to build an entire channel around a couple. I understand the Oprah Network, since she is a mega star. But these two are nowhere near the level of Oprah.

Too bad about GAC. It was a great idea 20 years ago, and just lost its focus completely, especially after the channel moved out of Nashville. But the fact is that music-based TV channels, regardless of owner or format, are not attracting viewers the way they once did.

It went the route of MTV and VH1. Reality shows.
