As of today the Paradise, CA area is on Evacuation watch due to fires.

At this time of post the smoke from Butte County is heading to Sacramento County and a spare the air alert has been announced.

Paradise was a small mountain town of about 30,000 just east of Chico. My folks used to live up there as did lots of retirees. As of today, 11/9/2018, it is all gone according to reports.
