    WAIW 88.1 Wheaton

Has anyone been able to tune into WAIW in Wheaton? What kind of power / signal / sound does it have? Does it have localised branding on the hour? Would be very interested in a recording of it's top of the hour ident.

According to Radio-Locator, WAIW runs 250 watts directional (mainly aimed west). I'm about 30 miles away to the northwest, and I've never heard it. The effective range of the signal seems to be about ten miles. 88.1 in the Chicago area is home to multiple low power signals.

I used to hear it when it was still WETN and operated by Wheaton College. I have heard it once or twice after being sold to EMF and under the WAIW call letters. Reception at my location is not easy as there are multiple of stations on the frequency like WCRX, WNTH, WLTL, WTZI that interfere with it.
