Old School's out for summer in Charlotte

Actually, it seems to be out for good.

The R&B oldies station WOSF was one of the top stations in Charlotte in the 12-plus ratings but those are way down. Now it is the second urban AC. They claim to have old school and today's music, but they got rid of the 70s. Since Charlotte no longer has an oldies station, no one is playing R&B from the 70s. There are AM stations that can only be heard during the day (one with a translator that might work in some areas) in the area playing oldies, and I think an FM covers the south side of the market. But that's it.
