The New Home of The DSC Show Is...

Revealed in a Dave Rickards Tweet shortly after their employment officially ended on Thu. morning 8/2/18: KGB.

KNSD TV picked up on it:

Upcoming, a Friday morning 8/3/18 announcement on KGB at 7 AM:

“We’re announcing something historic. Listen to 101.5 KGB Friday at 7 AM.”

"On August 6, something historic is happening on the KGB."

Unsure if this means that Bob + Coe are moving, another daypart will be affected
or shifts shortened to accommodate the DSC arrival. Stay tuned...

While I suspect Entercom will give it some more time, this is probably the death knell for The Fan. Operating costs are high, and the morning show doesn’t appear to be working. Rumor had been that Entercom was making a serious run at DSC.

Update from Ken Leighton over at the SD Reader: https://www.sandiegoreader.com/news/2018/jul/23/ticker-dave-shelly-chainsaw-looking-new-radio-home/

Ken Leighton Aug. 1, 2018 @ 9:12 a.m.
New KGB lineup: The DSC crew in mornings. Bob and Coe in afternoons. Clint is moved to middays and the Coppola guy who used to voicetrack his midday from out of San Diego has left the station. Unclear: what happens to Tommy Sablan.

According to Radioinsight's story,
"Marc Coppola, who currently voicetracks middays will now do the same in the evenings as fellow voicetracker Ty Bailey comes off the weekday schedule."

Not saying that Ken or Lance is wrong; just conflicting info out there for now.
We'll see what actually happens - granted, not a big deal regarding the other daypart.

Considering that Lance's report includes iHeart's press release in its entirety, it's likely correct.
