new classic hits station??

Gunsmoke

Found this trolling the net today, ID'ing as WDTT 92.9, Phillys Classic Hits Station. I must admit, the music selection is much better and deeper than OGL's weak offering, their core is 1960 to 1968, did not hear any 50s or 70's. I tried to pick them up over the air but they are non-existent, I know two other LP's were scheduled to sign on this crowded frequency besides WOOM and WGGT which are already on, but nothing with these calls They did mention a live Saturday night show with Tommy T from Cruzin' 92. Could OGL be in for some competition, only time will tell, but the music sounds more like an oldies format with a 10 year playlist.

The reason you're having trouble picking them up is because they have less than 10 watts, and are really meant for a neighborhood. WGGT was in Germantown. They may be sharing the frequency. That's something I once did with a 10-watter in the area.

The only "WDDT" that shows in the FCC database is for an LPFM in Winter Garden FL (Orlando area):

So, is the above "station" "WDDT-FM" online only?

The OP says he heard it on air. My suggestion is they may be sharing the frequency with WGGT.

My mistake - I mistyped the call letters as "WDDT" instead of "WDTT" both in the post + on the FCC site.
No pesticides were used in this research! ;-)

The FCC website query for 92.9 in Philadelphia returns 4 stations:

https://transition.fcc.gov/fcc-bin/...&slat2=&NS=N&dlon2=&mlon2=&slon2=&EW=W&size=9

The next closest station on 92.9 is in Upper Gwynedd, PA - according to radio-locator.com it's a Travelers' Info outlet.

To be determined...
