Maybe, Kelly, but AM stereo didn't produce harsh artifacts and didn't interfere with other licensed facilities.
And yes, AM stereo was wonderful, and no one should be derided for saying that; I was just agreeing with Andy, after all.
Incidentally, I have yet to hear stereo from an AM HD facility. However, I also haven't heard an AM HD station with audio that isn't fatiguing to listen to. The highs sound artificial and harsh to me. I've heard the KFAB in Omaha has well-engineered AM HD without that harsh sound ... but I'm a long way from Omaha.
