Is KOIT feeling the Heat from 98.1 The Breeze?

I've noticed KOIT has been mixing in some sweepers as, "Todays Hits, Yesterdays Favorites."

Are they repositioning themselves? Or just getting ready to take on The Breeze head on?
 
In the meantime, KOIT is being run by Bonneville, in an LMA with the TDC Trust, following the Entercom/CBS merger.

Well, why not? Bonneville pounded "Light Rock, Less Talk" to death for 3 decades, then when Entercom took over, the KOIT branding was changed to "______________" (nothing), so perhaps it's time for a new positioner
 
Sacramento's MIX 96 is a direct carbon copy of KOIT.

Freska even voices on weekends on MIX 96, Today's Hits ....
