WEEI K&C Expose Boston Globe Reporter's Boston Marathon Stories for Inconsistencies .

The Fenway Gazette (Boston Globe) puts Kevin Cullen on administrative leave as they investigate inconsistencies in marathon bombing coverage (for example, saying Martin Richard's father ran the race, which he didn't, and that he heard Krystle Campbell's death wail...all the way from Morrissey Blvd

that he heard Krystle Campbell's death wail...all the way from Morrissey Blvd
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He didn't say that. But because readers might not know what he meant --he apparently did hear her on tape-- that's the Globe's problem. Do I think this is
as bad as Barnicle or Smith? No.

The problem for EEI is their morning drive sucks. At some point things are going to go off the tracks. We know this. So go after Cullen now this week. Find some other abstraction next week. But the RS are going to keep winning and they can't talk about them.

Cullen, via Turtleboy:
"Nothing captured the horror that day than to listen to the sounds, I remember one point listening to Krystle Campbell’s death wail. "

They follow up by saying how could he hear it when he wasn't there at time of explosion. But it's been said he heard the audio of it later on (exhibit in Tsarnaev trial?) They're making the point he may be trying to convince people he was there at time of explosion.

"be trying to convince people he was there at time of explosion. "

To what end? Why would he want to be asked if he was there, if he wasn't?

I hope he gets by this, just like I wanted Borgie/Herald to beat his rap. If I'm going to give someone the gate I would hope it's a no question case like B&S. But I'd
also say that the Globe should make it clear to their personnel that they are not going to tolerate anything like what they have put up with again.

The Boston Globe said Friday that it will suspend columnist Kevin Cullen without pay for three months after an examination of his work found significant problems in a series of radio interviews and some public remarks he made in the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombings in 2013.

When he returns, Cullen will work as a general assignment reporter for the first two months before returning to his role as a columnist, Globe publisher John W. Henry and editor Brian McGrory wrote in a statement. Cullen will be barred from outside broadcast interviews for the first six months after his return, and subsequent appearances will be given heightened editorial scrutiny.

Never mind...ABC Radio, ex TKK/RKO/MEX host (Michele McPhee)story on ex Red Sox player falls apart...suspect dropped Ramirez name but not involved
I should have gone with my gut feeling about this the moment I heard the name "Michelle McPhee". But....a juicy sounding story like this one is almost impossible not to get sucked into.....and McPhee did a good job of squirting the juice around!;)
