Yes this latest Sinclair Scandal is putting questions over its talk content in the microscope. Also this Sinclair scandal is putting the leaders in the microscope.

A conservative commentator at a Sinclair Broadcast Group-owned television station in St. Louis has resigned after a statement he made threatening to sexually assault David Hogg drew harsh criticism and sparked the beginnings of an advertiser boycott.

Jamie Allman, who hosts a nightly news show on KDNL, a Sinclair-owned ABC affiliate in St. Louis, as well as a morning FM radio show, wrote on Twitter that he was “hanging out getting ready,” to sexually assault David Hogg with “a hot poker.”

“Busy working. Preparing,” read the March 26 tweet, which is too vulgar to print here in full, but was published as a screen shot by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, as the remark began to draw more scrutiny in recent days.

Advertisers, including Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, St. Louis health center Palm Health, and local real estate office The Gellman Team, announced they would stop advertising on Allman’s shows, spurred on by activists who took to social media to highlight the commentator’s remarks, as well as Democratic state lawmaker Stacey Newman and others.

Update Jaime Allman's KFTK Show is suspended after the rant

Although station officials are declining to comment, Jamie Allman has been removed from his conservative-talk radio show on KFTK (97.1 FM), at least temporarily.

The only on-air mention of the situation was a statement that Allman was taking "a few days off."

Former Missouri Speaker of the House Tim Jones filled in for Allman on Tuesday.

Several people active in criticizing Allman for remarks he made about teen anti-gun activist David Hogg took to Twitter on Tuesday to celebrate the development.

Former television journalist Charles Jaco said in a post about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday: "Jamie Allman taking 'a few days off' from his KFTK 97.1FM Talk morning hatefest. Let's extended (sic) that, shall we?..."

More Updates on the Jaime Allman fallout from Sinclair

https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo...er-vulgar-tweet-threatening-parkland-survivor

A conservative St. Louis media personality has resigned from the television show he hosted, two weeks after posting a crude tweet that threatened Parkland survivor David Hogg.

Jamie Allman was host of nightly news and commentary show The Allman Report on KDNL — an ABC affiliate owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group.

Sinclair is the largest owner of TV channels in the U.S. and has been seen as pushing a conservative message on its channels — including in recent weeks, when it asked its anchors across the nation to read the same speech warning against "biased and false news."

In his tweet, Allman wrote that he has "been hanging out getting ready to ram a hot poker up David Hogg's a** tomorrow . Busy working . Preparing ."

Allman posted his tweet on March 26, two days before Fox News host Laura Ingraham mocked Hogg in a tweet for being rejected from colleges to which he had applied. Ingraham later apologized to Hogg, but nearly 20 companies pulled advertising from her show, which she returned to last night after a week's vacation.

After the furor over Ingraham, Allman's vulgar message drew wider notice. Missouri state Rep. Stacey Newman began calling for advertisers to abandon his show, and at least three advertisers pulled their ads.

On Monday night, Sinclair said Allman's run at the network was over.

"We have accepted Mr. Allman's resignation, and his show has been canceled," a spokesman for Sinclair told The Washington Post and other outlets.

Allman also hosts a morning show on local news-talk radio station KFTK 97.1. A request for comment from the station was not immediately returned.

I want to point out that Jamie Allman isn't a "Sinclair must run talent," his tv show only aired on KDNL. I'm not for sure where you got that from RadioPatrol, because it's not posted in any of the articles you linked.

I copied the initial headline but read that Allman was a KFTK Talent and KDNL Talent once we had updates on the story.

An Update on Jaime Allman

When it came to deposed radio host Jamie Allman suing his former employers at KFTK (97.1 FM), the question was always "when," and not "if."

The answer is "Friday."

Last week in St. Louis County Circuit Court, Allman sued both Entercomm Communications and Emmis Communications for breach of contract.

Allman, who had worked at the conservative-talk station since 2002 and had most recently been the morning-drive show host, was fired April 11.

Radio station's owner has 'parted ways' with Jamie Allman
His ouster came in the aftermath of comments he made on Twitter criticizing teen anti-gun activist and Parkland High shooting survivor David Hogg. His post drew harsh criticism and sparked the beginnings of an advertiser boycott.

The Allman situation is the first major flap in St. Louis involving Entercom Communications, which just purchased KFTK from Emmis Communications in February.

I'm sure there was some sort of performance morals clause in his contract which was an out, in case the talent misbehaved, or brought scrutiny or shame to the station(s).

Just the fact that he did this after examples were made with much higher profile pundits like Laura Ingraham, seems to indicate Allman isn't very smart nor savvy to begin with.
