Big Back to Classic Rock

Big 105.9 is again 'South Florida's Classic Rock' and I'm noticing fewer 80s pop tracks in the playlist and more rock leaning hits. Did the Classic Hits/Classic Rock hybrid they seemed to be doing for some time fail? Why the change back to classic rock?
 
Maybe they hit a brick wall called The Beach. It's obvious that the Beach has 80s hits locked up. The format hole is rock. For a certain demo, pop & rock don't mix.
