This is the modern city of Ulaanbaatar, the new, unanglicised, politically correct way to spell the capitol city of Magnolia, or Mongolia.
That country has five longwave broadcasters that are all 2kHz above, or 7KHz below, the bandplan channels.
One is on 164KHz, three are on 209KHz, and one is on 227KHz.
To the best of my knowledge, they do not play modern rock in English, Espaņol, or Монгол хэл.

Where did I say that? From my perspective, the fewer (other) Spanish language stations there are, the better.

The issue is more that the the whole market is grounded in Miami Sound Machine and K.C. & The Sunshine Band and not hair bands and rockers.

Cleveland and Miami are both on the water; the similarities end there.

You don't rest, do you? Why do you insist on arguing with a man who's studied this business intensively and worked hard at it for 30+ years? We all want alt to work in South Florida, but you can't argue facts and history.

I don't pay attention, but how are the ratings now compared to when it was a simulcast of 790 the Ticket?

I enjoy 106-5 The Shark out of Corpus Christi, which sprays alt rock all over South Texas.

In the Mar-Apr-May period of 2015, prior to the change, they averaged a 1.8 including WAXY (AM). In the period from April to December of 2017, they averaged a 2.1, with WAXY at a 1.0 level.

So the split and the new FM format get 3.1 shares, while the simulcast of sports got 1.3 shares less. WSFS alone averages about a 3 share in 25-54, and is 15th in the market.

    Toast has left the building

The Morning Mess just got messier. Toast is no longer toasting on The Shark. Could this be the beginning of the end ?

Sorry. But I'm shocked that is has lasted this long. SFLA has never been a ALT rock region.
