Is It Boring Where You Are?

Same here...nothin' happening. Cards still don't have a Head Coach; Amazon cut Buckeye from their Top 20 List for a 2nd HQ; Former Sheriff Joe wants to be Senator Joe. And KAHM isn't KNAI-FM. zzzzzzzzz. So whaddaya say we charter a bus to Salome to catch KVGG fire up their xmttr in mid March to keep the license alive for another year? They're the reason 102~One can't broadcast from Towers Mtn. If you're interested in this field trip, a show of hands please.

KAHM changing frequencies on main Badger transmitter and
translator. Does that keep you awake and/or less bored?

We get flurries about once every 5 or 6 years. The last Phoenix-area snow I remember was in February 2012. In Mesa, it actually stuck!

I was in Vegas for a snowstorm a few years ago. Nothing like snow in the desert. No one in the casinos even noticed.

If I can get ahold of CLL and the Nurse allows eating in the Gremlin, sure. Sounds like more fun that Pratt's BBQ.

I flew out here for Christmas 1990 from Chicago, with a plane change in Vegas. Not only were we snowed in at O'Hare, but also at McCarren in the middle of the night. The flight to Phoenix, including wait times, was 15 hours, starting with a 5 PM flight that left Chicago at 11 PM CST, waiting in Vegas from about 1 to 7 AM PST, and landing at Sky Harbor at 8 AM. I was too tired to hit the casinos during the Vegas holdover, even though I slept on the plane from Chicago. There was snow all the way from Vegas to Phoenix, including about 6" in Carefree when I visited friends there a couple days later.

And people wonder why I hate flying?

I’ve noticed this too Doc, we just don’t have the action on this board like we used to. Remember when the Lamptimer board used to be the place to be seen and heard? Remember when Catfish with a “c” used to provide us with the inside scoop on the inner workings of the Lamptimer on 1440 KAZG? Remember when Dave Pratt used to be on here inviting us to fictitious barbecues? As Mary Hopkin would say, “Those were the days my friend!”

Despite this, sign-me up for the bus trip to Salome Doc! I just request one side-trip to the Lumberyard on Thomas Road and 64th Street in Scottsdale so we can see the KAZG transmitter site and the Lamptimer in action!

Will do, ASU Jorge. Just one thing, you didn't specify one way, or round trip. We hear it's nice this time of the year in Salome.
