Will Entercom eventually

Related question: Will KITS become "Alt 105" (Entercom's branding in a number of markets) or is the "Live 105" brand too strong to mess with?

I'm guessing they will keep is as Live 105, since it's been that way over 30 years. My question is will Entercom overhaul the playlist. It has gotten unbelievably stale, the majority of songs are 90s or 00s gold, and when they do play a new song, it's by older acts like the Killers or Beck. The only new-ish band I hear is that Revivalists "Wish I knew You," which is two years old, and they have played non-stop for six months. Outside of Subsonic or Soundcheck, the station hardly ever plays new bands.

As I pointed out on the New York board, this was spelled out in the purchase agreement. They get 20 years to use the letters:

Current examples- Cumulus Media stations KABC radio, KGO radio, and I'm guessing WABC too...no change since ABC ownership. I recall that during the Bernie Ward child-porn controversy, Cumulus was already in charge of KGO-AM. When KGO-TV reported on the story, they would always note that KGO radio had different ownership.

Technically Citadel Radio or was in the process of taking over KGO radio at the time. The Bernie Ward scandal was revealed just right when Citadel management was about to make changes to KGO Radio and they were already damaged by that scandal before they even had a chance to put new talent in like Gil Gross and others at the time as their picks.
