The hosts are Dave Anthony, Lisa Brady and Jessica Rosenthal

FOX News Radio (FNR) will debut "The FOX News Rundown," a news-based daily podcast on Wednesday, November 1. Airing Monday through Friday, co-hosts Dave Anthony, Lisa Brady and Jessica Rosenthal will present a story driven podcast, taking listeners beyond the basic headlines. Each weekday, "The FOX News Rundown" will feature insight from news makers, along with reporters and contributors from across all FOX News Channel (FNC) platforms.

"The FOX News Rundown" joins a lineup of FNR podcasts including "Perino & Stirewalt: I'll Tell You What," "The One with Greg Gutfeld," "Livin' The Bream," "From Washington" and "Children of Song."

With live news/talk available 24/7 I don't get the need for these podcasts. When news breaks, you won't know because you're listening to a podcast.

Also isn't saying they, "... will present a story driven podcast, taking listeners beyond the basic headlines," a slap in the face to the live presenters? Makes it sound like they're just reading basic headlines. Do Carlson, Hannity, Ingraham, et. al. think all they're doing is reading basic headlines?

There are news programs historically on radio that are current and topical, but don't showcase breaking news. A "news" podcast can be about the news of the day or the week, and yet still does not need the "live" or "breaking" component to be successful. Sometimes analysis and perspective is desired. People who listen to podcasts (and there are many people listening to podcasts) know they're not going to get interrupted with urgent occurrences.

As for slapping the live presenters in the face? Hardly. All of them know they read headlines. Commercial radio network hourly newscasts have been headline-heavy services for decades. Even Fox's all-news service on SiriusXM is branded "Headlines."
