I'm sure most of the people who read this board remember Max Kinkel AKA SuperMax.
He jocked on legendary station CKLW "The Big Eight" in the 70s, WCBSFM, and 92.3 K Rock. He in addition has done talk radio at various stations in the New York Metro area.
Well he's back on the internet. http://www.supermaxradio.com
The purpose of the netcast is to provide a service to US combat veterans throughout the nation and to help those vets who returned home in crisis.
The stream is on air 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
Max is on live Monday Through Friday from 6 till 9 AM EST. The show is repeated from 9 till noon.
The rest of the time is jockless dedicated to music from the CKLW and CBSFM era with loads of classic sounding jingles and drops.
After being off the air for a while Max hasn't lost it. He sounds just as good as he did when he ruled the overnight airwaves of New York.
I've found the best way to listen to and enjoy his site is with Chrome or firefox.
I wish Max good luck with this endeavor. You can tell when you listen that Max is doing this from some very strong convictions and from the heart.
