Another Local Station Gone

Shame on JVC for syndicating The Palm. The Palm was mostly local and played a music mix that couldn't be heard anywhere else on the dial. Yet another sad day for radio in the Palm Beaches.

I had hopes for "The Avenue" - "Timeless Cool",
but they have retreated to just their home station
in some Apple city in Wisconsin.

Are you saying that they are importing a syndicated format
or that they are selling their local one to other stations?

Their website doesn't say anything about this,
but doesn't TOC actually play older music?
Isn't that the wrong way to switch?
If I were in the Palm Beaches,
I would have presets for
The Palm and Legends.

It's kind of surprising that they kept the TOC. I figured they would have transferred the contract to Zoo when they sold WBGF and let them deal with getting out of it. At any rate True Oldies may not be local but it's well produced and the mix of music is pretty good.
