Frank Settipani Retires from CBS News Radio

KMan

Star Participant
This one slipped by last week; I'm pretty sure I heard this newscast as I was getting ready in the morning (on the app!) but he didn't even mention he was heading out the door.

Here's his last hourly:

His tremendous voice and delivery has been a staple in the AM drive, forever.

Does anyone know how long ago it was he took over as AM drive anchor? Another solid voice I will miss greatly.

According to Talkers, Settipani started mornings for CBS Radio in 2007.

I saw that ... something like "he had anchored mornings for a decade."

That, of course, is incorrect. He's been anchoring mornings since before Christopher Glenn retired (he was out in 2006), and I believe at least since there was a big shake-up of talent in 1999 (when Bill Lynch and others were laid off, Glenn moved to the round-up, and The World Tonight was renamed the RoundUp Late Edition with Bill Whitney as anchor).
