Apple Community Broadcasting has launched Soft AC “101.5 The Breeze” W268AN Plainview via 93.5 WVIP-HD4 New Rochelle NY.

The new format serves the area along the Nassau and Suffolk County lines on Long Island including Bethpage, Hicksville, Melville, and Syosset. The 13w/119m translator had most recently been airing Spanish Christian “Radio Cantico Nuevo” programming.

The station is promoting itself as playing “all your favorite songs from 1960’s – Today Artist like: Elton John, Doobie Brothers, Bruce Springsteen, Journey, Carly Simon, Lionel Richie, Billy Joel, Air Supply, and Chicago”.

HD4s are usually of minimal audio quality. I assume that what goes out over the translator will be full stereo.
